Richmond International Raceway Teams Up With Richmond Renegades Hockey
Richmond International Raceway and the Richmond Renegades professional hockey team will team up for NASCAR Night at The Coliseum on Saturday, February 2. America’s Premier Short Track will have a strong presence at the Southern Professional Hockey League game featuring the homestanding Richmond Renegades and the Jacksonville Barracudas. The track’s official pace car will lead a parade of motorsports race cars during one of the intermissions. Additionally, Richmond International Raceway will be giving away prizes, including tickets to the Friday, May 2, NASCAR Nationwide Series 250 race and the Saturday, June 28, SunTrust Indy Challenge IndyCar® Series race, pit passes for the May 2 race and a VIP behind-the-scenes tour with Richmond Renegades President/GM, Allan B. Harvie, Jr. Fans can enter to win these items by registering at the Richmond International Raceway information table, which will be located on the concourse, or by purchasing a tire to be thrown on the ice during the Fire-A-Tire promotion. Track president Doug Fritz will drop the ceremonial puck, prior to the 7:35 p.m. faceoff. The Coliseum doors will open at 6:00 p.m. so fans can check out all of the race cars on display inside and have a chance to enter to win prizes. The Richmond Renegades will be sporting special racing-themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off at the end of the game. Some of the funds will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. The weekend will feature the Saturday, May 3, Crown Royal Presents The Your Name Here 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Tickets are available and range from $80-$105. The weekend begins on Friday, May 2, with practice and pole qualifying for both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series. Friday’s ticket also includes a seat for the NASCAR Nationwide Series 250 race “under the lights.” Reserved seats are $45 (in advance) and $50 (on race day). General admission tickets are $35 (in advance) and $40 (on race day). Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult on Friday night.
