ALL WEEKEND ACTIVITIES AT RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY POSTPONED UNTIL SUNDAY
All weekend activities have been postponed until Sunday. |
Due to inclement weather from Tropical Storm Hanna, NASCAR and Richmond International Raceway officials have announced all weekend activities, including tonight’s Emerson Radio 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race, as well as tomorrow night’s Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race have been postponed to Sunday. The Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. Sunday. The Emerson Radio 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race will follow the Sprint Cup Series race at 7:00 p.m. All Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race tickets will be honored at the gate Sunday for the 1:00 p.m. Chevy Rock & Roll 400. All Emerson Radio 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race tickets will be honored at the gate Sunday for the 7:00 p.m. Emerson Radio 250. Track parking lots will open at 7:00 a.m. Sunday. The track credential office, NASCAR registration, media center and press box all will open at 7:30 a.m. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garage will open at 8:00 a.m. Sprint Cup Series Hospitality, Suites, Pit Stop Club and Green Flag Zone will open at 8:00 a.m. Sprint Cup Series TORQUE Club guests will also enter at 8:00 a.m. Grandstand gates for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race will open at 10:00 a.m. Sprint Cup Series Pre-Race pit pass access is from 8:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. The Nationwide Series garage will open at 3:00 p.m. Nationwide Series TORQUE Club and Suite guests will enter at 5:00 p.m. Grandstand gates for the Emerson Radio 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race will open at 6:00 p.m. Nationwide Series Pre-Race pit pass access is from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The Three Days Grace concert is tentatively scheduled to run from 11:15 a.m. – Noon on the frontstretch on Sunday. Fans can obtain passes to view the concert from the track at the Chevy Fan Fest display on the Midway. The Richmond International Raceway ticket office will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Saturday. Tickets for both races can also be purchased at the main ticket office, Gate 40, Gate 80 and on the Commonwealth Mall, at the will call building, on Sunday. Sprint Cup Series tickets start at $80 and Nationwide Series tickets start at $40. Tickets for both races can also be purchased online by clicking here. Park and Ride service will operate Sunday from the parking lot at The Richmond Coliseum parking area at North 7th Street in downtown Richmond. The Coliseum lot will open at 8:00 a.m. The shuttle service to Richmond International Raceway will also begin at 8:00 a.m. The shuttle service from The Coliseum lot is free but a $6 parking fee applies. The Richmond Coliseum lot is conveniently located less than five minutes from the intersections of I-95 and I-64. (To access the Richmond Coliseum lot from I-95 South, take exit 75 3rd Street/Coliseum exit; this will put you on 3rd Street. Proceed until reaching Marshall Street and turn left. Follow to 7th Street and take a left. The parking area will be on the right. To access the lot from I-95 North, take exit 74C Broad Street West exit and continue to 7th Street to the parking lot). For a detailed map of the area, fans can visit: www.richmondcoliseum.net/visitor_parking.asp The Showplace located at 3000 Mechanicsville Turnpike will also operate its Park and Ride Service on Sunday. That shuttle service to Richmond International Raceway from The Showplace also starts at 8:00 a.m. The cost is $5 per car and $25 per RV. The Showplace parking lot will open at 8:00 a.m. and offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the track beginning at 8:00 a.m. until after the checkered flag. The shuttle will operate continuously with pick-up at The Showplace lot and drop-off at the main entrance to Richmond International Raceway at the corner of Laburnum Avenue and Richmond-Henrico Turnpike. Throughout the day and after the checkered flag, the shuttle service will have pick-up service for return to The Showplace at the main entrance of Richmond International Raceway at the corner of Laburnum Avenue and Richmond-Henrico Turnpike.
