Jeff Burton Tops NASCAR Busch Series Testing Speed Charts at Richmond International Raceway

Virginia native Jeff Burton led Tuesday's NASCAR Busch Series test session at Richmond International Raceway today, topping the speed charts at 125.267 mph (21.554 seconds). Matt Kenseth was second fastest with a speed of 124.850 mph (21.626 seconds). Forty drivers turned laps around America's Premier Short Track for the first of two days of testing, in preparation for the Circuit City 250 Presented by FUNAI NASCAR Busch Series race at Richmond International Raceway on Friday, May 4.
Overall, the top five drivers on the day were:
- Jeff Burton: 125.267 mph (21.554 seconds)
- Matt Kenseth: 124.850 mph (21.626 seconds)
- Kyle Busch: 124.757 mph (21.642 seconds)
- David Gilliland: 123.870 mph (21.797 seconds)
- Dave Blaney: 123.762 mph (21.816 seconds)
NASCAR Busch Series testing continues tomorrow, while the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series returns next Tuesday and Wednesday for an important Car of Tomorrow test. All sessions will run from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Grandstands are open to the public and admission is free.
