Scotts Miracle-Gro To Sponsor NASCAR Weekend Fan Hospitality Zones

Richmond International Raceway officials and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, the world’s largest marketer of branded consumer products for lawn and garden care, are proud to announce an exciting new partnership in which both of the raceway’s NASCAR fan hospitality packages will reflect the Scotts Miracle-Gro name.
 
The Scotts Miracle-Gro Party Zone and ScottsMiracle-Gro Green Flag Zone packages are fan hospitality options available on NASCAR weekends at America’s Premier Short Track. The first ScottsMiracle-Gro Party Zone package is available for Friday, May 1, for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Lipton Tea 250. The first Scotts Miracle-Gro Green Flag Zone package is available for Saturday, May 2, for the Crown Royal Presents The Your Name Here 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
 
“The partnership between Richmond International Raceway and Scotts Miracle-Gro is strong and continues to grow as we move into the 2009 season,” said track president Doug Fritz. “Fans in the Scotts Miracle-Gro Party Zone and Green Flag Zone this season will enjoy an improved overall experience with new decorations and landscaping courtesy of Scotts Miracle-Gro.”
 
Additionally, Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 60 Scotts entry in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, and other Roush-Fenway Racing representatives will make appearances in the fan hospitality areas on both of Richmond International Raceway’s NASCAR Doubleheader weekends. Also, as part of the partnership, Scotts Miracle-Gro plans to redecorate the hospitality area using its signature products and will stage a display area in the hospitality area for fans to learn more about Scotts Miracle-Gro products.

Both packages offer great benefits that only Scotts Miracle-Gro Party Zone and ScottsMiracle-Gro Green Flag Zone guests can enjoy. The Friday, May 1 Scotts Miracle-Gro Party Zone package includes an exclusive pre-race pit pass to see NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying from pit road, prior to the Lipton Tea 250, as well as admission to the ScottsMiracle-Gro Party Zone fan hospitality area. The Saturday, May 2 Scotts Miracle-Gro Green Flag Zone package includes an exclusive pre-race pit pass to the Crown Royal Presents The Your Name Here 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, as well as admission to the ScottsMiracle-Gro Green Flag Zone fan hospitality area.
 
On both Friday and Saturday, the Scotts Miracle-Gro fan hospitality areas include an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet, appetizers, unlimited sodas and water, beer tickets for fans 21 years of age and older (with valid identification), question and answer sessions with NASCAR personalities, a souvenir event program, live musical entertainment, prizes and

No coolers are permitted in the Scotts Miracle-Gro Party Zone or ScottsMiracle-Gro Green Flag Zone. No alcohol or coolers are permitted in the pits. Times are tentative and subject to change. To take advantage of Friday’s pre-race pit pass, guests must be 18 years of age or older. Required dress code for pit admission on Friday: long pants, no sleeveless shirts, no open-toed shoes.
 
The NASCAR doubleheader weekend May 1-2 kicks off the 2009 racing season at America’s Premier Short Track. The weekend begins on Friday, May 1, with the Lipton Tea 250, preceded by practice and pole qualifying for the Nationwide Series and practice and Wawa Pole Qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Children 12 and under are admitted free in general admission sections with a ticketed adult on Friday only. Friday's tickets are $45 (reserved) and $35 (general admission) in advance.
