Scott Dixon was fastest in tonight’s final practice session "under the lights" for the IndyCar Series drivers at Richmond International Raceway.

Dixon’s best lap on the ¾-mile track at 161.917 mph was tops during the session, times to match conditions for much of the Saturday night SunTrust Indy Challenge, which starts at 8:30 p.m.

Dan Wheldon was second fastest at 161.368 mph, Helio Castroneves third at 160.943 mph and pole winner Dario Franchitti fourth at 160.436 mph. Danica Patrick, who qualified 10th, was 12th fastest in the practice session.

The session, scheduled for a half hour, was cut short by 2 minutes by the only caution flag of the session when Mario Moraes crashed on the RIR frontstretch at 9:28 p.m. Moraes was uninjured.

Tickets are on sale for $35 (reserved) and $30 (general admission).  Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult in general admission sections.  Saturday’s ticket includes a seat for the James River Grounds 100 USAC Silver Crown Series race, preceding the SunTrust Indy Challenge.
