Event Ticket Insurance Available for NASCAR Doubleheader Weekend, September 11-12

EVENT TICKET INSURANCE AVAILABLE FOR NASCAR DOUBLEHEADER WEEKEND AT RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY, SEPTEMBER 11-12
September 1, 2009—In a continuing effort to provide its guests with peace of mind, Richmond International Raceway would like to remind all of its September 11-12 ticket holders that event ticket insurance is available for all ticket orders placed through www.rir.com or Richmond International Raceway’s ticket office.
The optional insurance purchase is $6.25 per ticket and includes the Saturday, September 12 Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event and the Friday, September 11 Virginia 529 College Savings 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race.
With the insurance provided through a partnership between the track and Mondial Assistance, insured guests may be reimbursed the full amount of tickets covered if a medical issue, traffic accident, jury duty, employment termination, requirement to work or any other covered reasons prevent the insured from attending a race. Event ticket insurance is available for all existing orders (through www.rir.com or the Richmond International Raceway ticket office), as well as new orders placed through Tuesday, September 8.
NASCAR returns to Richmond International raceway September 11-12 for a NASCAR doubleheader, highlighted by the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race—“One Last Race to Make the Chase.” Once the checkered flag drops on Saturday, September 12, the field will be set for the 2009 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. With such a tight points battle among Chase “contenders” and Chase “hopefuls,” the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting races of the season! Tickets, which start at $40, can be purchased by calling 866-455-RACE (7223) or logging on to www.rir.com .
The weekend begins on Friday, September 11, with a full day of on-track activity, featuring the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race “under the lights.” Friday’s ticket includes practice and Fas Mart Pole Qualifying for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 and practice and WRIC-TV8 Pole Qualifying for the Virginia 529 College Savings 250. Tickets are $45 (reserved) and $35 (general admission) in advance. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult in general admission sections on Friday only. When to Use this Insurance:
Event Ticket Insurance was designed with the specific needs of event ticket purchasers in mind. This insurance provides coverage for non-refundable event ticket costs, including any applicable service fees and shipping costs, up to $1,000, if a guest cannot attend the event for a covered reason. Event Ticket Insurance does not offer coverage for cancellation due to a personal change of plans. Within 10 days of purchasing the Event Ticket Insurance, Mondial Assistance will process a full refund of premium to you, as long as you have not already attended your event ("race") or filed a claim. No refunds shall be paid to you after 10 days of purchasing the product.
