On the heels of announcing the tallest scoring tower in the NASCAR industry, which supports four state-of-the-art LED video screens viewable from every seat in the grandstands, Richmond International Raceway’s tickets for the April 30-May 1 NASCAR doubleheader weekend are now available for purchase.  To purchase seats, visit www.rir.com/Tickets-Events/Event-Calendar/Spring-NSCS.aspx or call 866-455-RACE (7223).

 

America’s Premier Short Track promises on-track excitement for its NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Saturday, May 1—the Crown Royal 400. Defending series champion Jimmie Johnson, Virginia’s Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon and the rest of the star-studded NASCAR Sprint Cup Series field will battle it out “under the lights” around the ¾-mile track. Tickets for Saturday night’s race start at $40.   

The weekend begins on Friday, April 30, with a full day of on-track activity, including practice and Wawa Pole Qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, practice and pole qualifying for the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Nationwide Series 250 race “under the lights.” Tickets for Friday’s events are $40 (reserved) and $30 (general admission) in advance. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult on Friday only.   

With the ticket windows open, there are several new, fan-friendly options and enhancements in effect for the 2010 season, including:   

·           NASCAR Nationwide Series Ticket Pricing: Tickets to NASCAR Nationwide Series races have been lowered by $5. Reserved seats are now $40 and general admission seats are $30 in advance.

·          Family Sections: Richmond International Raceway announces new designated Family Sections, which are alcohol-free and smoke-free. Children 12 and under are admitted at half price in Family Sections for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult in Family Sections for NASCAR Nationwide Series races.

·          Fan Hospitality Pricing for Children: Children 12 and under will be admitted to the Scotts Turf Builder fan hospitality areas for $10 on NASCAR Nationwide Series event days and $45 on NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event days. The new prices reflect an 85% reduction on Nationwide Series days and 50% reduction on Sprint Cup Series days for children 12 and under. Adult prices remain at $65 and $90, respectively.
