Final Judging for Signature BUBBA burger Contest Set for Friday, 2:30 p.m.
Fans Invited to See Bayne, Lagasse Jr & Pressley to Vie for Championship
The final judging for the Signature BUBBA burger Contest is set for Friday at 2:30 p.m.
The votes have been tallied, and the top three vote-getters in the Signature BUBBA burger® Contest will be vying for grand champion Friday at Richmond International Raceway. Fans are invited to catch the action, which starts at 2:30 p.m. at the SPEED stage, located outside of Turn 4 on the midway. Trevor Bayne, Scott Lagasse, Jr. and Coleman Pressley will present their creations to a panel of judges to determine the winner.
Bayne earned a berth into the final round with the “Cheese’s BUBBA burger®”: Certified Angus BUBBA burger® with three different cheeses (Swiss, American and cheddar), bacon, mayonnaise and ketchup.
Lagasse Jr.’s unique creation put him in the finale with his “Fried Green Tomato BUBBA burger®”: Turkey BUBBA burger®, fried green tomato slice, remoulade sauce, caramelized onion, arugula and mozzarella cheese.
Pressley had—by far—the most exotic creation, which earned him the most votes. Pressley’s creation consists of a Turkey BUBBA burger®, topped with a Celebrity Dog, potato chips, Celebrity homemade chili, two peanut butter cups and thick cheddar cheese.
The judges for the contest include Richmond International Raceway president Doug Fritz, SPEED personality Rutledge Wood and a BUBBA burger® representative.
