NASCAR Drivers & Fans Kick off Race Day With a Spin Around Richmond International Raceway on Foot
Coca-Cola Family Track Walk Combines Fun, Family-Friendly Activities With
The Coca-Cola Family Track Walk kicks off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 1.
Just before another thrilling race gets underway at Richmond International Raceway, three of Virginia’s favorite sons and stars on the NASCAR® circuit will take some early laps – on foot – with thousands of race fans as part of the Coca-Cola Family Track Walk, a season-long program designed to encourage active family fun.
The third event in the 2010 Coca-Cola Family Track Walk series will kick off at 1:30 p.m. on May 1 (near Gate 70, outside of Turn 4), just a few short hours before the green flag drops on the Crown Royal Presents The Heath Calhoun 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race “under the lights.” Fans can get moving alongside Coca-Cola Racing Family members and Virginia natives Jeff Burton, Denny Hamlin and Elliott Sadler. Following the walk, fans can enjoy activities for the whole family, including games, music, racing simulators, motivating lifestyle tips and Q&A sessions with drivers. The free event is open to all Saturday, May 1 race ticket and 2010 credential holders. Coca-Cola also is pleased to welcome special guests from the Boys and Girls Club and the American College of Sports Medicine, who will be on hand to participate in the event.
In 2010, Coca-Cola Family Track Walks have been held at Daytona International Speedway and Atlanta Motor Speedway. Additional Track Walk events will be held in conjunction with the Coca-Cola 600 weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway and at Chicagoland Speedway in July. All of the events provide fun opportunities for fans to get active by offering access to some of the most popular tracks on the circuit, top NASCAR drivers and entertainment for the whole family.
