If you ever wanted to take a ride around Richmond International Raceway on race day, now is your chance. Ticket holders for the Saturday, May 1, Crown Royal Presents The Heath Calhoun 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race will have the opportunity to ride shotgun around America’s Premier Short track, just hours before the green flag drops for the Saturday night shootout.
Richard Petty Driving Experience (RPDE) will bring 10 NASCAR-style stock cars to Richmond International Raceway for three-lap ride-alongs with professional drivers, reaching speeds up to 120 mph. Ticket holders for the Crown Royal Presents The Heath Calhoun 400 will have the chance to race around the same ¾-mile track on which Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch and the rest of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers will compete later than night.
Ride-alongs with RPDE on Saturday, May 1, will run from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. and are $149. Guests may register in advance by calling 1-800-BE-PETTY (1-800-237-3889). Reservations will also be accepted on Friday, April 30, at the RPDE display on Richmond International Raceway’s midway. The weekend begins on Friday, April 30, with a full day of on-track activity highlighted by the BUBBA burger 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race. Friday’s ticket includes Wawa Pole Qualifying, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice, NBC12 Pole Qualifying and practice for the BUBBA burger 250. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult in general admission sections on Friday only.
