NASCAR Driver and Virginia Native Elliott Sadler Attending; First 200 Fans at Announcement Receive Free Admission
Join us Wed., March 21 for a special announcement and free admission at Children's Museum of Richmond for first 200 guests
Richmond International Raceway, The NASCAR Foundation and the Children’s Museum of Richmond invite the community to attend its special announcement on Wednesday, March 21 (5:30 p.m.) at the Museum, located at 2626 West Broad Street. The event will be attended by NASCAR driver/Virginia native Elliott Sadler and family, as well as RIR President Dennis Bickmeier and Children’s Museum of Richmond President Karen Coltrane.
The first 200 guests, of all ages, who arrive at the announcement, receive complimentary admission into the Museum, following a brief announcement regarding the partnership. After the first 200, all kids will be admitted for just 60 cents, in honor of 60 Years of NASCAR at RIR. The special admission hours are 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Several cars will be on display at the Museum all day, including Richard Petty’s car actually driven at Richmond International Raceway in 1991, a 1950s NASCAR stock car and the Richmond International Raceway Pace Car.
NASCAR returns to Richmond International Raceway April 26-28 for three nights of racing. The weekend features the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 400 race “under the lights” on Saturday, April 28. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here or calling 866-455-7223.
The Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown Late Model race and the Blue Ox 100 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race kick off the weekend Thursday, April 26. All tickets for Thursday are general admission and $25. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult.To purchase tickets for the April 27 NASCAR Nationwide Series 250 race and Pre-Race Pit Passes, click here and be sure to “add race day activities” or call 866-455-7223. Friday’s tickets start at $30 in advance and children 12 and younger are admitted free with a ticketed adult in general admission.
