Richmond International Raceway is offering race fans a unique opportunity on Thursday, September 6. All NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers eligible to race their way into or capture a Wild Card spot in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, but have not already secured a position prior to the Federated Auto Parts 400, will participate in a free fan question and answer session. The event, which is FREE and open to the general public, will start at 5:30 p.m. on the backstretch apron of RIR’s ¾-mile track.
Fans are asked to submit their questions for the drivers in advance by tweeting @MissSprintCup and @RIRinsider. Please be sure to include #askmscrir in order to have your question considered. Questions can also be submitted at Facebook/RichmondInternationalRaceway or via e-mail at email@example.com.
Guests attending the Q&A session on Thursday are asked to enter Richmond International Raceway through Gate 7 off Carolina Avenue and park in the Henrico Parking Lot. Please enter the grandstands at Gate 60 on the backstretch and proceed to the crossover gate. The Q&A session will take place on the backstretch apron. Trams will be provided for guests in Overnight RV Parking in Lot J, as well as the Main and Laburnum Overnight RV Parking lots.
This free event is weather permitting. Should it be cancelled, Richmond International Raceway will notify fans through RIRUPDATES, an informative texting service to keep fans informed on race weekend.
