The race is a preliminary to the SunTrust Indy Challenge IndyCar Series race, which starts at 8:30 p.m. "under the lights" tonight on the ¾-mile oval.

Dixon's best lap on the ¾-mile track at 161.917 mph was tops during the session, times to match conditions for much of the Saturday night SunTrust Indy Challenge, which starts at 8:30 p.m.
