    It was a day to remember. Richmond International Raceway representatives and NASCAR driver Carl Edwards set out on a flight like no other. Strapped tightly into a C-2 Greyhound on Tuesday, August 16th, the team took off for the USS Eisenhower, located approximately 200 miles southeast of her home in Norfolk, VA. The one hour flight to the ship ended with a hook landing on the flight deck of the IKE.

    "The Road to Richmond" Twists & Turns Through Watkins Glen International This Weekend

    After a little movement in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series point standings following an eventful finish at the “Tricky Triangle” of Pocono, the Race to The Chase shifts to the 11-turn road course at Watkins Glen International. Following this weekend’s event, there will only be three races remaining before “The Road to Richmond” culminates at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday, September 10 with the Wonderful Pistachios 400—“One Last Race to Make The Chase.”

    Lining up from the first tee at Independence Golf Club, NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Elliott Sadler stuck his drive within just a few yards of the pin, setting the bar high for the media he challenged today.     Richmond International Raceway Staff Assists Neighbor With Home Repairs in Henrico County

    Continuing its commitment to volunteerism, the Richmond International Raceway staff assisted the Operation Paintbrush program in Henrico County today by fixing up a local resident’s home through much-needed repairs. The staff came out in full force to scrape, paint, repair railings and gutters and give the landscaping a facelift.
