Chicken Soup for the Soul: NASCAR Features Story from Doug Fritz
Racing fans are revving up their engines and making a pit stop at national bookstores because Chicken Soup for the Soul of NASCAR hit the shelves last week. Chicken Soup for the Soul and NASCAR have teamed up to feature 101 great stories of speed, courage, dedication and overcoming adversity.
Many famous names in the NASCAR industry have contributed to this book, but pay special attention to page 15, as “A Moment with a Legend” is a personal account from Richmond International Raceway president Doug Fritz, who recounts his first meeting with Bill France, Sr.
It begins…”I like to think there are two types of events in life, memories and moments. Memories are something that years later, you think back on and say, ‘That was great.’ Moments are times when you KNOW you are doing something that is very special and impactful while it is happening.”
The book includes many of the sport’s biggest names, including Jimmie Johnson, Darrell Waltrip, Tony Stewart, Brian France and many more. Check for it at national bookstores.
