Growing Field of Sprint Cup Drivers to Race at Denny Hamlin's Third Annual Charity Race
More of NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series drivers have signed on for the Short Track Showdown to benefit the Denny Hamlin Foundation on April 29th at Southside Speedway in Midlothian, Va. Kevin Harvick, Elliott Sadler, Aric Almirola and Marcos Ambrose will join an already star-studded field that includes Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch and Joey Logano. They will compete against some of the region’s best Late Model Stock Car drivers in the 250-lap showdown.
“It’s great to have so many of my fellow Sprint Cup competitors giving their time to support the Denny Hamlin Foundation through this charity race,” said Hamlin. “The fans will have a great show to watch, and most importantly my foundation will be able to raise the funds necessary for the organizations we support.”
The Denny Hamlin Foundation was created in 2008 to aid in raising awareness and funding for Cystic Fibrosis research and treatment, as well as to support other not for profit corporations that focus on aiding children with debilitating illnesses.
Tickets are on sale now exclusively at www.dennyhamlinfoundation.org. Tickets can also be purchase at Southside Speedway on April 16th and 23rd at the front gate and are cash only purchases.
