The 2010 season at Richmond International Raceway continues with another NASCAR Doubleheader weekend September 10-11. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ second stop of the season at Richmond is one of the most important on the schedule. The Sept. 11 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 400 is the final race before the start of The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup - NASCAR’s 10-race playoff championship – making this “One Last Race To Make The Chase.” After “One Last Race To Make The Chase,” only the top 12 drivers in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points standings are eligible for The Chase. Don’t miss the drama of “One Last Race To Make The Chase” under the lights at Richmond International Raceway. Tickets for National Guard members start at $40 and come with a complimentary PRE-RACE PIT PASS. New in 2010, we are offering the Family Sections presented by Virginia 529 with children 12 and under being half priced for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. Smoking and alcohol are prohibited in the Family Sections presented by Virginia 529. You must call Ian Kirkpatrick to order tickets for the Family Sections presented by Virginia 529. The weekend begins on Friday, September 10 with a full day of on-track activity, including practice and Fasmart Pole Qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, practice and qualifying for the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the Virginia 529 College Saving 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race “under the lights.” The Virginia 529 College Savings 250 is an old-school, Friday-night short track showdown "under the lights," as the rising stars and veterans of the Nationwide Series tangle with a number of Sprint Cup Series drivers. National Guard general admission seats are on sale now for $23. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult in general admission sections on Friday.
