IndyCar Series Garage Passes on Sale Now for SunTrust Indy Challenge Presented by XM Weekend at Richmond International Raceway

Faster speeds and three female drivers aren't the only major differences between the IndyCar® Series and NASCAR. When the SunTrust Indy Challenge Presented by XM returns to Richmond International Raceway June 29-30, IndyCar Series fans can purchase weekend pit and garage access for only $35, giving them an up close look at the cars, drivers and teams.

Weekend garage passes allow IndyCar Series and USAC Series garage access all day Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30. In addition, the passes allow access to the pits Friday and Saturday. Garage pass holders are required to leave the pits one hour before the start of the SunTrust Indy Challenge Presented by XM IndyCar Series race Saturday night, when the pits become hot.

"Garage and pit access is a great asset when the IndyCar Series returns to Richmond International Raceway," said track president Doug Fritz. "All of our fans who purchase garage passes have an amazing time by getting an up-close, personal look at the drivers and cars of the IndyCar Series. It's a great opportunity to see the action from a unique perspective."

Fans must be 18 years old to use the weekend garage passes and can purchase them at www.rir.com or at the Richmond International Raceway ticket office at 866-455-RACE (7223). To access the garage and pits, pass holders must have a ticket to that day's activities.

Tickets for both days of the race weekend are on sale, starting with NBC12 Day on Friday, June 29, which includes USAC practice, IndyCar Series practice and qualifying for the SunTrust Indy Challenge Presented by XM and the USAC National Sprint Car Series race. All tickets are $15 and children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult. Friday's ticket also includes an autograph session with all of the IndyCar Series drivers running in Saturday night's race "under the lights." Tickets for the SunTrust Indy Challenge Presented by XM IndyCar Series and USAC Silver Crown Series 100 races on Saturday, June 30 are available for $35 (reserved) and $30 (general admission). Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult in the general admission sections. For tickets and information, fans can call 1-866-455-7223 or visit www.rir.com.
