East, Donoso on pole for USAC races

With a lap of 19.565 seconds, 138.002 mph, Bobby East, driver of the #5 Klatt Enterprises sprint car is on pole for tonight's "Showdown at Sundown" Lucas Oil USAC National Sprint Car Series.  The 60 lap feature race is scheduled to be run in two segments, of 31 and 29 laps each.  The green flag drops at 8:40 p.m. tonight.

 

In qualifying for tomorrow's USAC Silver Crown Series 100, Chilean native Pablo Donoso, driving the #11 A.J. Foyt Enterprises Chevy, grabbed the pole position with a lap of 21.108 seconds, 127.914 mph around the ¾ mile tri-oval. Saturday's USAC Silver Crown race will serve as the undercard for Saturday's main event "under the lights," the SunTrust Indy Challenge Presented by XM.
