Ryan Newman, Richard Petty, Mike Helton, Hermie Sadler, Daughtry in Green Flag Zone
Legendary driver and team owner Richard Petty, Ryan Newman, NASCAR President Mike Helton, Speed TV personality Hermie Sadler and triple-platinum rock band Daughtry will visit the Green Flag Zone fan hospitality area at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday, September 8, prior to the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race. The Green Flag Zone is a fan hospitality area for Saturday, September 8 ticket holders. Located in a festive outdoor environment, the Green Flag Zone offers a unique VIP experience. In addition to a question-and-answer session, Newman will be signing autographs for fans who purchase a copy of Pit Road Pets, a book featuring the pets of NASCAR drivers and personalities. The book will be available for purchase ($25) in the Green Flag Zone and all sales will benefit the Richmond SPCA and the Ryan Newman Foundation. The first 100 fans who bring or purchase the book will be allowed to have Newman autograph the book, as well as one additional item. Each individual must have or purchase a copy of Pit Road Pets to receive an autograph. Admission to the Green Flag Zone includes: - Exclusive pre-race pit pass (from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., time and weather permitting)
- Appetizers from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- All-you-can-eat dinner buffet from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Six (6) beer tickets for fans 21 years of age and older (with valid identification)
- Unlimited sodas and water
- Question and answer session with "The King" Richard Petty, Ryan Newman, Mike Helton, Hermie Sadler and Daughtry
- Live musical entertainment

Petty is a seven-time NASCAR champion and won 200 races in his career. Widely considered one of—if not the—best drivers of all time, Petty has the most career NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series victories at Richmond International Raceway with 13. Known throughout the world as "The King," Petty fields two cars in NASCAR's top series—No. 43 and No. 45. Sadler, an Emporia, Virginia native, has competed in 25 races at Richmond International Raceway, dating back to 1992. Currently, Sadler works with Speed TV for NASCAR races. The rock band Daughtry will perform a pre-race concert in line with the Rock & Roll theme, prior to the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race. Already widely popular with its two hit singles, "It's Not Over" and "Home," Daughtry is headed by frontman Chris Daughtry, who first earned fame on American Idol. The Green Flag Zone is available to all Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series ticket holders at $90 per person.* A limited number of tickets to the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race are still available.
