The 2009 season concludes at Richmond International Raceway with a NASCAR doubleheader Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th at America's Premier Short Track. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 race, featuring all of your favorite NASCAR superstars. This race is one of the favorites for not only the fans, but also the drivers. Racing "under the lights" on Saturday, September 12, takes them back to their roots of running night races in front of a packed house who come to witness true racing. The Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Spring Cup Series race marks “One Last Race to Make The Chase” and is sure to provide the beating and banging that the drivers and fans both love. Last year’s race featured a showdown between Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart for the lead during the last 15 laps of the race. Johnson barely edged out Stewart for the win. Expect the same caliber of racing to happen this year as drivers compete to be in the Top-12 for the Chase to the NASCAR Sprint Cup!

The weekend begins on Friday, September 11th, with a full day of on-track activity, including practice and FasMart Pole Qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, practice and qualifying for the NASCAR Nationwide Series 250 race “under the lights”. All of the Nationwide Series regulars will mix it up with many Spring Cup drivers who are running double-duty that weekend. Last year’s event was won by Carl Edwards who fought off Clint Bowyer for the checkered flag. With this win, Edwards got to show off his signature back-flip at the finish line.

Military tickets are on sale now for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Tickets start at $40 and come with a complimentary PRE-RACE PIT PASS, while supplies last!

Also, tickets are available for the Nationwide Series 250 race. General Admission seats are $28. Children under the age of 12 are admitted free with a ticketed adult in the general admission sections.
